Description

This 1973 Ranger 29 is a Gary Mull-designed racer-cruiser in good condition, for sale in Austin, Texas. After nearly ten years and many good memories, the owner is moving up to a larger boat. This Ranger 29 carries a Dacron mainsail with 170% and 110% genoas, and a Universal Atomic 4 30hp inboard that starts first time and runs strong, professionally rebuilt in 2001 with a freshwater cooling system since added. The list of careful upgrades under current ownership is long: rebuilt starter (2015), Racor fuel filter/water separator and raw-water strainer (2018), a new below-deck 12-gallon fuel tank (2018), new lifelines and reupholstered cockpit cushions (2018), new carburetor (2018), a ProMariner triple-bank battery charger (2019), a new stuffing box (2019), a new fuel pump (2023), and all six portlights replaced. She comes with a marina slip on the main basin of Lake Travis, close to Austin Yacht Club. She measures 29' LOA, 9.3' beam and 4.6' draft, with two cabins, a fiberglass hull and masthead sloop rig. Asking $4,000. Contact the seller to arrange a viewing.
