Description

This 1976 Doug Peterson 25 quarter-tonner is a fast, race-bred sloop in good condition, for sale at St. Pete Beach, Florida. This sloop-rigged racer carries a genuine competitive pedigree, including the 1976 Corpus Christi Ton Worlds. One of Doug Peterson's breakthrough designs and one of just 11 built by Composite Technologies in Texas, she has a solid, uncored hull. The five-foot fin keel was faired and re-bolted with new backing plates in 2013, and she was repainted in blue Imron at Endeavour Yachts in 2018. A full sail inventory includes three jibs, two mains, and a spinnaker, with two booms, two pipe berths, a Danforth anchor, and a mainsail cover. The running rigging is set up for racing, and a newer outboard jack plate hangs on the stern. A fun, very fast quarter-tonner for minimal investment. She measures 25' LOA, 8.8' beam and 5' draft, on a fiberglass hull with masthead sloop rig. Reduced for a quick sale at $1,500, cash or cashier's check only.
